Vermicomposting

Vermicomposting, or worm composting, is extremely popular and extremely effective. That’s because it’s easy, cheap, and you can do it in limited spaces. In fact it’s the foundation of nearly all indoor and balcony methods of composting.
One of the best aspects of vermicomposting is the fact you are working hand in hand with pets to create something many times beneficial. Beneficial by providing them a habitat, and beneficial to you to create a usable product that can help you feed yourself and others.
The worm family used, redworms, red wigglers, or Eisenia fetida is best suited to break down organic material, and they are fine with not having the ability to plummet many feet down into the earth, thus staying happy and hungry within your compost bin.
They are hardy warriors and can live through many harsh climates and living situations. Although I personally have had issues with them drowning due to improper drainage of compost systems.
